The busy Tashkent International Airport (TAS) can be an exciting first encounter. The exit from Arrival terminal of TAS is often crowded with local drivers trying to gather more clients for a ride, make sure you do choose your driver wisely and not overpaying for your ride. Arranging a reliable airport transfer is highly recommended for a smooth start.
* Pre-booked services ensure a stress-free journey to your accommodation.

The local currency is the Uzbek Sum (UZS). While credit cards are increasingly accepted in major establishments, having some cash for smaller notes or local markets is always wise. The best choice is to exchange at banks’ exchange offices since they usually have the best rate. ATM are often offering lower rate than offices. Just keep in mind that banks’ working hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Exchange offices in major hotels work with different schedule, contact the hotel to get details.

• Connectivity

For communication, purchasing a local SIM card (e.g., Ucell, Beeline, Mobiuz) immediately in the airport itself is a must. Choose your package on your phone wisely because you will be using your mobile network outside of your hotel. Staying online is very crucial on streets of Tashkent. It is also suggested to have your phone’s settings checked since some times additional settings are required for cellular network to function.
